Sonoma Valley brims with the best vineyards in the nation. With vineyards, come grapes, and with grapes, comes wine! Sonoma County wine, that is. 😉
Here’s a list of my top 3 favorite wineries & vineyards:
Francis Ford Coppola Winery is located in Geyserville, and is owned by the famous director of the Godfather!
This winery is one-of-a-kind, and decorated with amazing movie props.
It was featured winery of the year in 2017 and showcases over sixty wines from sustainably-farmed vineyards in the heart of Sonoma Valley.
The winery’s restaurant, Rustic, is a delicious full-service restaurant overlooking the breathtaking Alexander Valley. It features international and traditional Italian dishes, with an emphasis on family-style dishes. Ingredients are sourced right from the winery’s organic herb and produce garden.
The “parilla”, an authentic Argentine grill, is the focal point of the restaurant. The grill master fires up wood-grilled meats full of amazing spices and seasonings.
For wine tastings, choose from first flight tastings, Sonoma-inclusive tastings, behind-the-scenes walking tours, private tastings, private tours and guided tasting experiences. Wines offered for tasting include Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Zinfandel, Red Blend, Claret, Shiraz, Rosso and more.

One of the best attractions at the winery is the movie gallery, which displays the coolest authentic film memorabilia.
The winery’s shop includes vintage items from around the world and international food delicacies.
The winery also showcases events such as wine family Wednesdays, A Tavola, and wine family barrel tasting night.
Even the kids can enjoy Francis Ford winery & vineyard. The winery features two large swimming pools at the center of the park area surrounded by chaise lounge chairs. There is a beautiful view of the Alexander valley, and the weather is always so lovely.

At Del Dotto Estate, the winery cave tour is a must. It’s one of Napa Valley’s oldest caves, and it is absolutely beautiful.
The estate features over 17 acres of chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, pinot noir, merlot and more. The property was opened in 2007, and features stunning cathedral-like architecture. The vineyard is completely organic, and focuses on small production and premium wine.
Del Dotto Estate offers an excellent private food and wine pairing.
Indulge in 6-8 tastings directly from the barrel followed by world-class cheeses, housemade salamis, pizzas and dark chocolate. The tour runs approximately 90 minutes.
The cabernet sauvignon and pinot noirs are my personal favorites.
The winery is open 365 days a year, and cave tours and tastings are offered daily.
